Emily

Having spent most of my childhood ignoring my parent’s yogic practices it wasn’t until I was expecting my first son over twenty years ago that I discovered yoga for myself. That first practice felt like a return to something, I have never forgotten how familiar and good it felt and yoga has held a most precious place in my life and my heart ever since. It wasn’t until many years on from that first experience that I felt the transformational healing aspects of a yoga practice and it was yoga’s impact on my mental and physical health at that time that drove me to share it with others and complete my first teacher training. Since then I have completed many yoga, meditation and healing trainings, explored practices rooted in my own Scottish celtic traditions and gently explored my connection with the First Nation peoples of North America. All that I have learnt and continue to learn from the land, from people, animals, from life and from spirit weaves it’s way through everything I share.

As a mother of four children living in rural Scotland I have developed a personal practice that respects the ancient practices, honours my own Scottish roots and lineages, resonates with the energy of the time and the rhythms and cycles of seasonal climate that surrounds me. It is from this place that I share the practice.

My Approach

I bring with me all that I have learnt thus far in life which is ever changing, practices will never stay the same and will always be a blend of traditions. I share practices with respect honesty and integrity that always come from my heart

My hope is that everyone who I have the privilege to share practice with feels safe and feels seen. My aim is to offer a practice that is accessible to as many people as possible and that suits their physical, emotional and spiritual needs and ultimately helps the cultivation of their own personal and individual practice to support them in life.
